What We Do

STAR seeks to fill the gap between the initial support and services provided to refugees and their full self-sufficiency. Our services include:

Direct Services:

• Provide a community space and activities for refugees that offer mutual support and nurture cultural acclimation.
• Provide driving instruction.
• Provide transportation services as needed.
• Advocate on behalf of refugees.

In Partnership with Other Organizations:

• English language learning.
• Employment/job training assistance.
• Assistance with immigration paperwork.
• Housing assistance.
